With deep regret and sorrow, we bid goodbye to Joop. Koopman who passed away on January 11th, 2019 after a brief illness! He will remain in memory a friend to civil society organisations in India and elsewhere, steadfast and loyal to his friends with a high degree of integrity, commitment and insistent on Social Equality. Joop Koopman was a sharp development analyst, passionate about consumer affairs, devoted to development cooperation with heightened sensitivity to South partnerships, truly international in his way of thinking about strategic alliances without losing sight of the field. Timsina Netra and Shobha Raghuram met him in Den Haag, September 2017 and presented him a copy of the SAAPE Poverty Report.
